Root All Xperia Phones On Official Ice Cream Sandwich Firmware–Easy Tutorial
We recently reported that Sony was rolling out the much awaited Ice Cream Sandwich update to Indian users.The phones that received the update were the Xperia Arc S,Neo V and Ray.

Rooting is a process which gives you super user permissions over your phone.You can uninstall/freeze manufacturer/carrier bloatware,install custom ROM’s like Cyanogenmod,MIUI etc.
Pre-Requisites:
- For backing up SMS,call logs,Gmail,Google calender use: “SMS Backup +“
- Please make sure that there is a minimum of 60% charge in your phone.
- Enable USB debugging on your phone by going to Settings > Applications > Development > USB debugging where the USB Debugging option should be ticked.
- Make sure that ADB drivers of your phone are installed on your PC.If not download this tool and install it.

Guide to root Xperia Arc S,Neo V,Ray On Ofiicial Android 4.0.3 a.k.a Ice Cream Sandwich:
Step 1>>Download the rooting package from HERE
Step 2>>Extract the contents of the package using Winrar or any other decompressing software.
Step 3>>You will see the following files:
Step 4>>Now connect your phone to PC.
Step 5>>Now double click on runme.bat and wait for the rooting process to complete.
Step 6>>Reboot your phone after the rooting process completes.
Step 7>>Enjoy your rooted phone!
