Intel’s Atom Chips To Support Jelly Bean

Intel has confirmed that it’s Atom-based chips will support Android 4.1 a.k.a Jelly Bean.Intel launched it’s Atom based chips on two smartphones –one from Lava and the other from Orange.Both smartphones come with Android 2.3 a.k.a Gingerbread and are yet to receive an update to Ice Cream Sandwich.While Intel is still a newcomer to the mobile SOC market,we are happy to see that it is at least trying to port the latest version of Android to their chips.

An Intel spokesperson confirmed the news in the following statement:

“Intel continues to work closely with Google to enable future versions of Android, including Jelly Bean, on our family of low power Atom processors”.
