With the Snapdragon S4 Pro processor already making waves in the mobile space,Qualcomm has unveiled it’s 2013 line of processors consisting of the Snapdragon 800 and Snadragon 600 processors.So,here’s a look on what the latest Snapdragon chips unveiled by Qualcomm offer:
Qualcomm Snapdragon 800:
The Snapdragon 800 will be the Qualcomm’s high-end processor for 2013.It will come with the new quad core Krait 400 CPU,which,according to Qualcomm,will offer a 75% performance boost over the Snapdragon S4 Pro chip.Other parts of the chip include an Adreno 330 GPU, 802.11ac Wi-Fi,LTE Cat 4 modem for faster connectivity and UltraHD resolution support.The processor is capable of cranking up speeds upto 2.3GHz per core and will offer a premium mobile and computing experience.The asynchronous SMP architecture present in the chip will help in conserving power whenever possible.
The Snapdragon 800 is expected to be available by the middle of this year.
Qualcomm Snapdragon 600:
The Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor is expected to hit high end devices by the Q2 of this year.The Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 will come with the quad core Krait 300 CPU ,a faster Adreno 320 GPU and support for LPDDR3 memory.Qualcomm claims that the Snapdragon 600 will offer 40% more performance that the Snapdragon S4 Pro processor at lower power.
